I was hired on as a Content Creator for Brigham Young University’s Career Center. I was tasked with producing engaging and informative content that showcased the institution's culture, & values. I played a pivotal role in enhancing the BYUI's online presence, engaging its community, & conveying its mission through a variety of compelling content formats. I created informative content about the university's academic programs, research initiatives, and faculty expertise to attract prospective students & showcase educational quality. I generated compelling and relevant content across various platforms, including website, blog, social media, newsletters, videos, & podcasts for an audience of under 20,000 students.
I worked with a team of talented students who were graphic designers, career center mentors, photographers, and lead content specialists. On the left are some of my team: Matt, Jose, Christy, & Jordan.
Together as a team we crafted over 5+ stories/narratives that highlighted the university's achievements, faculty expertise, student success stories, & campus life to engage prospective students, alumni, & stakeholders. We also conducted 15+ interviews with faculty, senior students, alumni, and staff to create human-centered stories that resonated with newer students.
Lastly we produced 20+ visually appealing content mediums, including images, infographics, and videos (animated & non-animated), that complemented written material and enhanced engagement. This included working with other departments like animators, audio techs, videographers, etc.
I covered more than 12+ university events, seminars, workshops, and extracurricular activities to capture a vibrant campus life & encourage participation.
In the end it was a fulfilling and incredible experience to contribute to campus life and university program while still being a student.
